007 – Autumn in Massanutten

trees in autumn

Back in November, I visited the East Coast. I usually experience autumn in California where temperatures are temperate and seasons stay relatively the same year round.

I took a 3 day trip to Massanutten, located in Shenandoah Valley, Virginia. It’s typically a ski resort village in the wintertime, but I was going for a simple change of scenery rather than a skiing or snowboard excursion.

We were blessed with perfect 75 degree weather and went at the perfect time of year when the leaves were beginning to fall off the trees. I didn’t know how magnificent autumn could look. The trees! The leaves! The colors! My eyes soaked up bright colors ranging from golden yellow to crimson, scattered across the road.

I wish all my autumns could look and feel like it did back in Massanutten.
